2025 Substack Wrapped
Like Spotify Wrapped, but with more me...
Just because I like to do stuff like this, I wanted to give my version of the famous (I guess?) #SpotifyWrapped, but over here on the Substack. I have always found these kinds of analytics interesting, so maybe you will, too. At the very least, I’m linking to some older posts because #AlwaysBePlugging.
First of all, there were 20 written posts here on Dursin’s Dungeon, plus a few videos, all made with my pal Clay N. Ferno (go subscribe to his Substack, too, if you please.) That’s almost 2 a month, so bi-weekly is a decent schedule. If you were hoping for exactly 2 a month, I’ll try to do better next year. I’ve always felt that you gotta write when the muse finds you.
Anwyay, the most viewed post accoridng to Substack stats was this one:
It makes sense because it was from February, but also because it’s a pretty popular movie. I know I like it. We also did a podcast about it, if you’re interested. Which you’re not.
The most Liked post was also one of my favorite movies:
It also had a lot of views, just slightly less than Clue. So, people like comedies and like being reminded of how old these movies are. If you are reading this, I should point out how much we writers enjoy it when you click that little heart. It doesn’t take much effort and doesn’t get us any extra money, but it does send a message that we’re doing ok.
The post that had the most views that weren’t driven by people interested in a movie was this one:
It’s also the only post I shared on LinkedIn, and the only post I name-dropped people that I worked with back then that I really didn’t like. I feel a little bad about that now. It’s the holiday season and I should be spreading good cheer, but I guess I had a lot to get off my chest so… sorry if I offended anyone. You probably feel the same way about me, so we can all agree to disagree. Mostly, I’ll say it was cathartic and leave it at that.
Finally, I don’t like to choose among my children, but this one was probably my personal fave of 2025:
Just a fun romp through my toy-playing youth. Maybe it goes back to the “Clue at 40-Holy Grail at 50” motif, but I enjoyed thinking about those old times. Hopefully you enjoyed it, too, or maybe it brought you back to some good ol’ days.
That’s a wrap on 2025, folks. Thanks so much for reading, liking, subscribing, sharing, etc. I hope you have a happy holiday and a happy New Year.
